Dr. Jose Arnold Tariga (Arnold) is an internationally educated nurse with over 16 years of diverse
experience spanning clinical and academic settings in the Philippines, United Arab Emirates, and the
United States. A lifelong learner and educator, he earned a post-doctoral certificate in Medical
Teaching from Harvard Medical School, where his capstone project on transition-to-practice earned
first place for its innovative approach.
Dr. Tariga is highly credentialed, with certifications as a Nurse Educator, Nursing Professional
Development Specialist, Nurse Executive, and Healthcare Quality Specialist. He has shared his
insights at both national and international conferences, including events hosted by the Association for
Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) and Sigma Theta Tau International. He has also
contributed to the nursing profession through publications in peer-reviewed journals and ongoing
advocacy for advancing global nursing education.
His contributions to the nursing profession have been recognized through honors such as The
Healthcare Professional of the Year 2019 by The Filipino Times Awards in Dubai, Asia’s Distinguished
Nurse Educator by Asia’s Pinnacle Awards in 2023, and his recent induction as a Fellow of the
Faculty of Nursing at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI).
Currently, he serves as the Director of Clinical Education and Development at InsightGlobal Health,
where he leads transformative initiatives to bridge competency gaps for internationally educated
nurses. He is also a member of the Executive Board of the National Consortium of Academic Nurse
Educators. A dedicated advocate for the nursing profession and professional development, he
