Oral Presentation Guidelines

Allocate each slide for Title, Introduction & need for the study, Aims & Objectives, Materials & Methods, Summary & Conclusion, Results and Discussion, Acknowledgment & References, respectively. While the number of slides may vary, you are expected to maintain the time limit of 8 minutes maximum for your presentation. A sample slide allotment is given below for your reference.

  • Slide No. 1: Title
  • Slide No. 2: Introduction, Need for the Study, Hypothesis of the research project
  • Slide No. 3: Aims and Objectives of the research project.
  • Slide No. 4: List out the importance of materials employed for the study.
  • Slide No. 5-8 : Explain the results obtained with depicted diagrams, tables, figures and appropriate references.
  • Slide No. 9: Brief and concise summary and conclusion of the research project. Prospects of the research project may be added.
  • Slide No. 10: Mention the acknowledgement and list out the references.

Note: A sample template is shared for your reference so that you can modify the slides as per your requirements but please follow the order. You are not required to share your slides with us. You will be sharing your screen and presenting during your scheduled slot. The details regarding your presentation slot will be shared with you in the beginning of next week.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

The poster must include the following sections: Title, Introduction, Need for the study, Materials and Methods, Statistical analysis (if any), Results and Discussion, Summary and Conclusion, Acknowledgement, and References.

  • The title must be concise and brief, reflecting the content of the research work, and should not exceed 75 characters.
  • The author's name should be in bold, and the presenting author should be marked with an * and underlined. Qualifications are not required.
  • The affiliation of the authors must be clearly stated using superscript numerical.
    • ▪ Font- Times New Roman
    • ▪ Font Size- Title- 60 points Bold and Capital
    • ▪ 45 Points for Author’s name
    • ▪ 35 Points for Affiliations
    • ▪ 30 points bold for headings and subheadings,
    • ▪ 20-26 points normal for running text.
  • No fancy fonts can be used.
  • The preferred background shall be white, font colour must be black and no colour fonts are permitted.
